Now, if we mentioned museums were worth a visit, you would probably say, “Oh!!!, that sounds interesting (yeah right)” But, trust us, you haven’t seen anything like these. Below you will find some really interesting days out, fun for all ages.
We have plenty of Castles to choose from and most of them can be located at www.cadw.wales.gov.uk
For the active ones
For those of you that like a bit more activity in your life, why not try some Cross country and Downhill mountain biking at Cwmcarn. More info can be found here.
Or how about giving the Velodrome in Newport a go?

As you may have guessed, this is a coal mine, but you can actually go down this one for a guided look around, and your tour guides were real minors. Plus its FREE
Golf and National Parks
Golf
The Ryder Cup came to Wales in 2010 and Golf has to be of interest to some of you. Wales has some great Golf Clubs with fantastic greens and views.
National Parks
The other great asset we have here is the fabulous coastal paths, the Black mountains and the National Parks. which all offer a fantastic opportunity for some sight seeing, walking, eating and some scenery gazing to suit any taste.
Other Places
Cardiff Bay and Swansea Marina offer great days out and are no more than 1 hour away
There are also activities like:

Beaches
There are quite a few beaches within one hours drive from the cottages, such as Barry, Porthcawl and the Gower.
